L'Authentique amour français

Guests: Emily Klassen (soprano), Bud Roach (tenor), the Cardinal Consort of Viols

A concert of rarely-heard gems of the seventeenth-century French Baroque. From lute and theorbo solos to elegant violin duos to intimate airs de cour to opera scenes staged according to historical practices, our program will delight you with a sensual feast of music from the early French repertoire, drawing upon a diverse list of composers from Pierre Guedron to Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
